After introducing the Navetta 42 at the Yachts Miami Beach Show, construction is well underway. The design is a collaboration between the Ferretti Group and Studio Zuccon. The interior is by Studio Zuccon as well. The first hull is under construction and slated for delivery in 2018. The semi displacement yacht is being built in GRP materials throughout (hull and superstructure).

It is a well-balanced design offering spacious interiors with vast-enough deck spaces. There are four decks guests can traverse - lower, main, upper and a sundeck-. The majority of accommodation is on the lower deck for guests and crew. The owner has a full beam master suite on the forward main deck position. Guests can have either a four or five cabin layout on the lower deck. In fact, the owner can have a suite of four VIP-grade cabins or just five basic cabins. Basically the entire layout is flexible to account for an owner's preference. They can have either a 5 or 6 cabin arrangement on the vessel for themselves and guests.

The external decks will be spacious with the sundeck being the center of the attraction. The sundeck is undefined in its three-zone spacing but it is evident what the designers were trying to do. The creation of a seamless uninterrupted space that offers multiple areas for guests to use appears key. The aft most area on the deck is left open for sun loungers but can easily have sun awnings or sunbrellas deployed to shade the space. Midships has a hardtop that shades L-shape seating on either side and up front there is a square jacuzzi that is dropped in the middle of a sunpadded area. If that wasn't enough for guests to sprawl out on, the bow has a dedicated area. Expect the Navetta 42 to allow for a 3,000 nautical mile range at a continuous 10-knots.
