New Launch: Benetti 60-meter "Amnesia"​

It's hard to believe that Benetti shipyard is preparing to celebrate the delivery of the new 60m, FB245, the third yacht to be commissioned by the same ship owner, at the prefabrication factory of the same Business Unit in Livorno the first blocks of the future Amnesia, FB252, are already under way and being built. In the meantime the preparations for the delivery are raging, totally adhering to the times dictated two years ago by the ship owner, and on Saturday 9th February the launch of FB245 took place.

FB245 was begot from the collaboration between Benetti, which entirely developed the external shape and the English studio, Redman Whiteley and Dixon which handled the indoors section. Aware of the success of the boat which came before, the new Amnesia was able to go still further without losing sight of the precious hereditary bestowed upon it...

New Launch: Heesen 47-meter "Mon Plaisir"​

A few weeks earlier then scheduled, the Heesen Yachts organization welcomed to Oss the Owners to launch the motor yacht “Mon Plaisir”. With a length of 47m this is the second displacement vessel of this size recently built at Heesen. With steel hull and aluminum superstructure, the vessel reaches a maximum speed of 15.5 knot confirmed by the sea trials successfully carried out in the North sea. Once onboard any guest is immediately surprised by the

volume of the interior areas and the immense external deck space, this makes hard to be convinced that this vessel has been designed with a gross tonnage of less than 500 ton. Omega Architects was appointed as interior designer as well as for the concept and styling...

New Launch: Heesen "101"​

“101” is the second hull of the 4400 semi custom series, semi-displacement aluminum hull and superstructure, equipped with zero speed fins stabilizers the vessel performs a maximum speed of 25 knots. She is easily recognizable because of her black hull and light grey superstructure, which anticipate to any guest her unique style and ambiance of this yacht. General concept and styling is by Omega Architects which at the moment is in charge of most of the Heesen projects under construction, while the interior design has mainly been developed by the Owners.

Unique is the best definition for the interior design, developed by the Owners. Materials such as black velvet, mirror, black lacquered panels, onyx, silk, stained teak and stainless steel detailing are coupled together to give this yacht a modern and warm personality, a “unique” personality...

New Launch: Trinity Yachts 161' "FOXHARB'R Too"​

Gulfport, Mississippi – January 21, 2008 – Trinity Yachts, L.L.C. announced recently, they launched the 161 ft. (49.1m) yacht named Destination FOXHARB’R Too after a brief christening ceremony by the new owner. She is a tri-deck with a beam of 28 ft. (8.6m) and an aluminum semi-displacement hull and aluminum superstructure.

Designed and built by Trinity Yachts, L.L.C., she has a cozy refreshingly cool and smart Patrick Knowles’ designed interior, in which her style is influenced by a European Spa Resort, featuring tailored sophisticated fabrics, stonework showcasing Beaumaniere Limestone, River Rock Pebbles and Walnut Travertine, satin nickel accents and a rich millwork palate of Redwood Burl, Lacewood, Macassa ebony and Honduran mahogany. Hand carved glass panels inset into passage doors throughout, adds a sense of art and dimension to her interior...

Horizon Premier 130 Makes Her Debut​

Following almost two years of intense and meticulous construction, the first Horizon Premier 130+ was launched at the Premier Pier and successfully finished her sea trials at Kaohsiung harbor.

As the largest yacht ever built in Taiwan, the Horizon Premier 130+ model sets a new benchmark for quality standards here. The Horizon Premier 130+ has been built to full Det Norske Veritas (DNV) classification together with MCA LY2 code compliance. All designs, materials, equipment, and construction processes were surveyed and checked by DNV, and tests were carried out under DNV surveyors’ scrutiny. The Horizon Premier 130+ has also been designed to comply with the MCA LY2 code, which is the most important code for large yacht operation. DNV checked the design and sea trials to certify that the Horizon Premier 130+ fully complies with MCA LY2 requirements...

Broward Launches New 124' RPH "Coco Loco"​

Less than 2 weeks into the New Year, Broward Marine launched its second model of the new 120’ motoryacht series. "Coco Loco", the 124’ Raised Pilot House Motor Yacht features full walk-around decks, a hard top and an extended swim platform that neatly stores two personal watercraft in recessed teak covered compartments.

This is the second launch in the new Broward 120 series and just about one year since the launch of the first. The proud owner and his wife joined the management and employees of Broward Marine as they gathered in front of the vessel as she was lowered into the water for a company photo. There was a lot of excitement and congratulations going around with the completion of the yacht nearing.

Broward continues to develop the 120 line and has two 128’ Global models in production and is starting a third in the near future...

Lurssen Launches 230' "Martha Ann"​

Lürssen launched in December 2007 Martha Ann, which was known under the project name Shark. She is the sister ship of Apoise (2006) and Saint Nicolas (2007) but other than her predecessors, she has a blue hull, which gives her a more elegant sleek line. Martha Ann will be delivered to her owner in April 2008.

Modern lines and a contemporary style are the features of this massive 70 metre yacht. Designed by Espen Oeino with a beam of 12,80 m, she boasts extraordinary volumes for a yacht of her length. Martha Ann features six decks and offers numerous areas for guests, making her the perfect solution for entertaining. Since she is fully compliant to MCA code, she will undoubtedly become a star on the charter circuit.

Guests have four very spacious cabins with king size beds at their disposal on the lower deck while the main deck hosts the enormous owners suite, which totals an area in excess of 130 sqm...

"Bystander" Wins SuperYacht Society Award​

Fort Lauderdale, USA – During the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, the luxurious motor yacht Bystander has been awarded Super Yacht of the Year during the International Superyacht Society Design Awards. This 43 metre retro classic yacht, also mother ship of the world famous J-class Velsheda, has been designed by Vripack.​

By special request of a businessman, Bystander has been built by the French yard JFA in Concarneau to the styling of Rhodes Young Design from England and the design of Vripack from the Frisian Sneek. In a loaded ball-room of a luxurious hotel in the one and only yacht centre of the world Fort Lauderdale, the atmosphere was very tense when the winning yachts were to be announced. Burger Launches 2nd “Twin” 127' Tri-Deck MotorYacht​

Manitowoc, Wisconsin, U.S.A. - On November 3, 2007 at 11:00 a.m., Burger Boat Company, one of the world’s most historic and prestigious shipyards launched Areti II, the second of two identical 127' (38.7m) tri-deck yachts to be completed this year. A sea of onlookers stood by with eager anticipation as the 500-ton Marine Travelift carefully lowered Areti II into the water for the first time. The identical yachts are owned by a young Russian industrialist who has chosen to build two identical yachts due to business interests that divide his time almost equally between Russia/Europe and the U.S. This will give him constant access to his yachts in both regions to enjoy quiet family time and to entertain business associates.

Fincantieri Yachts 75-meter "Goldmine"​

The Fincantieri Yachts Design Team is proud to unveil its astonishing new concept design: Project Goldmine. As we always do, while developing the lines of the vessel, we have undertaken a thorough preliminary technical study, including a parametric study of similar size yachts and a preliminary review of the naval architecture, in particular in terms of weights, power and stability, hull and superstructure lines, which has been carried on with the most up to date design IT programs, some of them are developed exclusively for Fincantieri Yachts. The design is anyway still enough flexible for a further adaptation to the owner’s specific requirements.

Fincantieri Yachts 70-meter "Prospect"​

Prospect is designed as a seagoing vessel for unrestricted service. The hull construction will be steel, with a light alloy superstructure. The vessel will be twin screw with a bulbous bow. Propulsion will consist of twin diesel engines, each coupled to a controllable pitch propeller (CPP) through a reduction gear. The vessel will also be equipped with a twin high lift rudder plant, one bow thruster and two pairs of stabilizers designed to provide active roll reduction both in underway and at anchor. Power for the ship will come from 3 diesel generators, with one back-up emergency generator...

Perini Navi 50-meter "Vitruvius" Concept​

Perini Navi announces the sale of a 50 metre motor yacht. Designed by Vitruvius Ltd., this new project combines the characteristics of the Vitruvius Concept – a new type of yacht created by the French naval architect Philippe Briand – with the features of an Explorer vessel, following the owner’s requirements.​

The Vitruvius Explorer 50m will be the first yacht to be built with the Vitruvius Concept and the first motor yacht by Perini Navi under the Picchiotti brand. In the words of Giancarlo Ragnetti, Perini Navi CEO: “The name of Picchiotti is part of the Italian shipbuilding tradition of which it was one of the founders.
