Mariotti Yachts 55-meter "Geo"
The 55-meter "Geo" is a new build yacht currently offered for sale. She is an explorer type superyacht will great range and capability. Her design has been penned by the well-known Luca Dini. This design firm is also tasked with the interior design of the Geo.
Geo is expected to be built to ABS class and feature MTU diesel engines each with around 2,700 HP. The range on the explorer will be in the region of 5,000 nautical miles. Her layout will offer the ability to sleep twelve guests in six well-appointed staterooms. Delivery can be expected sometime in 2014...
Heesen completes 47-meter "Ariadna" megayacht
Dutch builder Heesen also finished up with the delivery of the 47-meter displacement yacht "Ariadna". She is all-white with dark masked windows giving her the contemporary yet sleek and individualistic appeal. Ariadna is the seventh hull in the well known and award-winning 47-meter Series by Heesen.
Built under hull ID 15347 the yacht has naval architecture in-house at Heesen. The interior work has been described as being classically Moscow Ritz-Carlton flavoured. The layout of some of the suites is a little unusual to the norm. The master is located aft on the Upper Deck while the VIP is forward on the main deck. Other guest cabins take up position on the lower deck.
Technically speaking now, Ariadna features dual MTU engines. Twin MTU 8V 4000 M70s with the ability to run her at approximately 15.5-knots...
Benetti finishes 65-meter "Seanna" superyacht
Top Italian luxury yacht manufacturer Benetti completed another one of their larger projects recently. She is the 65-meter luxury yacht christened as "Seaanna", a near sister to the "Silver Angel". Seanna was launched back in June while another large Benetti in "Lyana" was launched in May.
Seanna is a displacement superyacht with build hull ID FB 254. Naval Architecture on the new luxury yacht came by Benetti as expected. The interior styling was done by Redman Whiteley Dixon. Her design is clearly reminiscent of Silver Angel and "Lionheart" which were designed by Stefano Natucci.
The 65-meter motor yacht was built in steel and aluminum, strong steel hull and lighter aluminum for the superstructure. Seanna although similar to the two aforementioned yachts has some cosmetic changes visible to the attentioned eye...
Feadship launches fifth F45 megayacht "Helix"
Dutch yacht manufacturer Feadship just launched the latest megayacht in the F45 line. Her name is "Helix" and she is all-white, looking similar to the first F45 hull, "Space". Launched at the Feadship Royal Van Lent yard she is a spectacle to behold in her gleaming white finish.
Sharing spectacular finishing and detailed work much like her sisters, she is beautiful all around. On the interior, the major difference can be seen. Helix is the first of the F45's to feature the 'Nautical' themed interior.
The design of Helix is by De Voogt Naval Architects in conjunction with Sinot Design Associates. On the interior the 'Nautical' theme echoes luxuriousness with light cream coloured fabric walls and mahogany for distinct contrast. Guests are slept in five staterooms...
Galeon finishes 780 Crystal motoryacht
Galeon yacht builder have recently launched the flagship of their line, the 780 Crystal motoryacht. Naval Architecture has been drawn up by Tony Castro Naval Architects creating a fast and comfortable platform for owner and guest alike.
Speak of guests, the 780 Crystal has accommodation to serve and sleep eight delighted guests. Overall the design is sleek and stylish with sweeping curves keeping things interesting. Relaxation space on the exterior is abundant with padded regions all over the boat. To the fore on the bow there is soft seating and an accompanying small table to rest your cocktail.
Sunpadded region is also on the flybridge for those who need a higher vantage point. Another is on the bow to the fore of the small table aforementioned. Galeon is expected to appear at the upcoming Monaco Yacht Show (MYS)...
Hyundai Yachts introduce Asan 62' motoryacht
Hyundai Yachts showcases another model in their line, the Asan 62-foot motoryacht. The new vessel features a design by Bill Prince Yacht Design stretching from stem to stern with purpose.
A maximum beam in the region of 5.64-meters help offer a roomy interior that is as spacious as on slightly larger vessels than the Asan 62. Very small draft of just 1.47-meters allows for near-shore excursions without worry. The Asan 62, is powered by Volvo IPS 900s. Hyundai Yachts suggests she carries approximately 5,300 LT of fuel and 950 LT of water.
Spaces onboard include a sky lounge just aft of the bridge, three staterooms are there to sleep guests who comes aboard. Three heads also accompany those rooms with an extra one located on the sky lounge area. The exterior design is simple yet accent details draw in the eye...
Northern Marine launches 64-foot "Aquila" Expedition
The newly launched Expedition yacht from Northern Marine is hull number 6410, indicating that she is the tenth 64-footer in the series. She was christened with a name taken straight out of Greek mythology, "Aquila".

Heesen completes 50-meter "Ice Angel" superyacht
The busy times at Heesen continue with a number of launches being completed and delivered to their respective owners in time for the Summer season. One of the recent deliveries is the 50-meter yacht christened as "Ice Angel".
Ice Angel is the second yacht in the new 50-meter series by Heesen that started off with the "Satori", also delivered this year. In construction she -Ice Angel- was known as Yard Number 15850. This all aluminum semi-displacement superyacht has a top speed near 23 knots thanks to her twin MTU 16V 4000 M90 diesel engines.
Ice Angel and her naval architecture was done in-house by Heesen Yachts. On the interior Frank Laupman in collaboration with Star Design Ltd went to work. The vessel displaces just under 300-tonnes and has a range over 3,000-nautical miles at 12 knots. Just under 69,000 LT of fuel can be stored in her tanks...
Sessa Marine completes 45' FLY-bridge motoryacht
In May YF alerted you to the presentation of the new 45-foot FLY-bridge model from Sessa Marine. The new vessel is now completed and well ready to strut her stuff at international shows and the world in general.
The FLY-bridge is the business end of the yacht, hence Sessa Marine 45' 'FLY'. The secondary navigation controls are located on the forward end and starboard side of the FLY-bridge. All around the station seating is located for the enjoyment of the open-air ride. The Sessa Marine 45 FLY has three cabins for guests each with two bathrooms. Rossi Navi, Studio Spadolini create 65-meter superyacht design
Studio Spadolini and Rossi Navi have once again collaborated on another superyacht design. The new vessel is a really sleek 65-meter superyacht with a projected top speed in the region of 25-knots.
The concept called for an innovative motor yacht made “rich and elegant ” with just few definite essential lines. The wide body main deck solution gives very ample space inside, well above the average room for a yacht this size. Quite particular are the passage ways on the sides that are hidden by the wing/spoiler that comes down from the upper deck, this arrangements gives the feeling of walking in a gallery that projects you toward the bow.
The 900-tonne yacht will be built in all aluminum and powered by a pair of MTU 16V 4000 93L engines. This latest project will have a range well over 2,000 miles at reduced speeds...
Bertram introduces new Bertram 64' sportfish
This new 64 Bertram, designed in collaboration with Studio Zuccon International Project, Ferretti Group’s AYT (Advanced Yacht Technology) and Centro Stile Ferretti Group, has been created for its intended use and is claimed to outperform other sport-fishermen of similar size. It is equipped with CAT C-32 ACERT engines powered at 1925 hp each and is expected to top out at 40 knots.
The boat is very much a Bertram in appearance and introduces small enhancements and added amenities to provide a seamless sport-fishing experience. Larger side cabin windows have been incorporated into the exterior design and a smooth windscreen distinguishes the exterior brow, which will be offered as standard for the conventional sport-fishermen or full forward window as an option.

141-meter "Dream Symphony" schooner starts construction
Back in October 2010, YF alerted you to the possible design and intent to build the "Dream Symphony" -the world's largest sail yacht-. Today we can tell you that construction has indeed started on this monumental project. The Dream Symphony has a design in a collaborative effort by Ken Freivokh Design and Dykstra and Partners Naval Architects.
The impressive four-masted schooner will be of staggering proportions with a length of just over 140-meters. Dream Ship Victory is building the epic project and so much so epic, the company had to make extensive modifications and reclamation.
Speaking of reclamation, new land has been made in the sea and the mountain side to support the expanded facilities for the Dream Symphony...
Cizgi Yachts 42-meter "E&E" Expedition
The new 42-meter expedition yacht by Cizgi Yachts in Turkey is on the verge of being launched. In fact she is expected to be launched tomorrow, the 9th of August. She is called "E&E", a new name to the name she had in construction, "Jasmin II". The Jasmin II would have been the successor to the smaller "Jasmin" built by RMK Marine. However, the brand new yacht's final name is E&E.
E&E has been carefully built with performance, capability and stability in mind. With a designed weight of approximately 480-tonnes, keeping her under 500-tonnes, balancing out her weight was important especially for stability. Her entire structure was built utilizing various materials, with the lightest highest and the heaviest, lowest.
E&E's mast assembly and wheelhouse are made in composite materials. The upper deck is in aluminum and the lower deck and hull are in steel...
Maiora launches 27-meter "Antarah" motoryacht
"Antarah" perpetuates the tradition of Maiora yachts: the choice of white hull which amplifies the feeling of luminosity and lightness has always been a must with the shipyard. A novelty has been introduced in the exterior design: a single large porthole illuminates the lower deck and particularly the master and VIP cabins giving the occupants a unique feeling of being in contact with the water's surface.
Light colors predominate in the interior: birchwood panelling and a large white sofa welcome the occupants in the saloon which also promises to entertain with its 50" TV screen and a dining table capable of seating up to 12 guests. MCC Neo Classic 46-meter Project
MCC naval architect Kasia Milewska says: “I took my inspiration from the ships that were built early in the last century, no nonsense efficiency, the shape of the bow…” Like all Neo Classics, the best new design is not derivative, but deferential to the past with a vision toward the future.
The sleek new MCC 46-meter can be offered with either a twin engine/ twin prop configuration or the most fuel efficient version with a single prop similar to the Marco Polo series. With a maximum speed of 16 knots, the yacht is designed for long-range speeds at 14 knots. The hull is decidedly rugged but at the same time it is a proper yacht, handsome and stately. One could argue if the plumb bow is modern or retro, but the overall exterior styling of the new 46 is definitely is lean and clean.
The main salon and bar are on the main deck with infinite flexibility in terms of dining/lounge area...
Fincantieri completes 134-meter "Serene" superyacht
At 134-meters long, the MY "Serene", is one of the ten largest yachts ever built in the world and one of the finest in terms of sophistication and technology. Designed in accordance with the maximum class of international safety regulations for passenger transport the Serene has seven decks, a hangar and two helicopter landing pads.
The vessel also features a large sea-water swimming pool which can accommodate service craft and a submarine with a diving depth of up to 100-meters. There are 4,500 square meters of interior space including 2,700 square meters of super-luxury designed by Pascale Reymond from Reymond Langton Design.

Heesen completes 55-meter "Quinta Essentia"
Heesen completed and delivered the largest of their launches for the year, the 55-meter "Quinta Essentia". The gleaming red and white vessel is easy to capture the eye and on the interior the more than sumptuous design was by Michela Reverberi in association with Ken Freivokh.
The exterior by Dobroserdov Design in collaboration with Omega Architects and naval architecture in-house by Heesen. The all aluminum semi displacement yacht is classed to the following: ABS +A1 Yachting Service, AMS.
Prior to delivery, Quinta Essentia exceeded expectations on sea trials by travelling faster than the contracted top speed. Top speed was slated at 24 knots and she ran 25 knots at half load. On her delivery and maiden cruise she ran from the Dutch port of Hellevoetsluis to Capri taking approximately 6.5 days at 16-knots average...
Second Predator 130' "Never Say Never"
Sunseeker recently completed the second Predator 130-foot unit called "Never Say Never". This new luxury yacht can easily sleep ten guests in five cabins. The luxury on board is everywhere, no social space was left out. Accommodation serves five crew members.
Never Say Never is finished in a dark blue hull and contrasting white superstructure. A large hardtop covers most of the flybridge creating a shady and open air affair when relaxing on the top deck. Small balconies jettison from the main bulwark outside of the main saloon to give more space and a further sense of openess. This is further accentuated when the sliding doors open to create unrestricted flow to either side through the saloon.
Never Say Never is sleek overall in design, sculpted windows and angular facets give her a visual appeal. She isn't just for sitting pretty either, she can top out at just over 25-knots...
Picchiotti Vitruvius 55-meter "Galileo G" launches
The latest yacht in the Picchiotti Vitruvius series launched on the top of the last weekend. She is the second yacht in a series of three (so far) and is 55-meters in length. The first yacht of the series is the widely acclaimed "Exuma".
This second yacht (55-meter) is named "Galileo G" and comes with steel hull and aluminum superstructure construction. Displacement at full load is expected to be in the region of 753-tonnes. Two CAT 3512C engines are onboard and top speed is around 16-knots with a range of near 9,000 nautical miles at 11-knots possible with 152,000 LT fuel tankage.
Galileo G comes in a flag blue hull and brilliant white superstructure with her iconic oversized Sat Com dome. The new yacht will have a plethora of toys including a 9.5-meter main Hurricane tender, a 6.3-meter tender and a smaller rescue tender of 4.20-meters...
