"Ziacanaia" is down at the marina... I'll see what I can do in terms of photos, she obviously came in when I was out photographing "Vava II" and was away from the pc.
Turns out another yacht was down there as well, one called "Fortrus"..never heard of seen her. * "Fortrus" and "Ziacanaia" * Cleaning the salt grime from "Fortrus" * forward port view of "Fortrus" * "Ziacanaia"...love this photo * "Ziacanaia"
More... * "Ziacanaia" * "Fortrus" and T/T "Fortrus" bathed in underwater lighting... * T/T "Fortrus"... * T/T "Fortrus" again
Great shots YN! Fortrus has a sweet tender! Fortrus, former Catalonian Spirit, is a 2008 Inace launch, 112' long, 23' beam, 7' draft, steel hull, aluminum superstructure, ABS, MCA, 12 pax, 7 cabins, currently for charter. Fortrus for Charter - YouTube A very nice looking yacht!
Yes she definitely looks Inace for sure, the same thing I thought. I just never heard the name before of seen her in her current state. I knew of the previous name you quoted. Thanks for the compliment.
Not at Port St. Charles Marina but I didn't want to create a new thread. Not too long ago a vessel caught fire not far off Holetown, about 3.5-miles off shore. I am assuming it was a sportfish kind of craft. However, one of our Coast Guard Damen 42-meter Patrol boats responded to the call and out the blaze.
Some information on that burning vessel... So it turns out that two seafearers from St. Maarten rescued eight Barbadians. The eight persons were in a dinghy when rescued. The St. Maarten pair of the yacht "Blue Passion" were travelling for about four days and were tired when they saw yellow smoke. Captain of the Blue Passion said that the dingy was leaking air and taking on water when they got to it. The Captain Gregg Langridge picked up the stranded men from the gutted "Big Deal" and took them to Port St. Charles Marina.
"Vive la Vie" Just after 13:00 local time, the 60-meter Lurssen "Vive La Vie" rolled into Port St. Charles Marina. Got there about a minute later than I wanted to have been...so you will have to do with these shots. Sorry...
Thanks. Didn't get the shots I wanted but the set there came out okay. "Vive la Vie" is beautiful and VERY compact and deceptive at certain times she looked like a 70-meter even though I know she is 60-meter. Lurssen built quite a few of those boats, that look small but when you really see them, your eyes open wide. "Linda Lou", "Solemates" "Arkley" etc.
I still remember that the project started. The opening was with Prince Andrew. I had recieved an information package about 16 years ago. And I also remember that there was an information about that boats had to have a certain environmental friendly coating to be allowed in he marina.
One thing I didn't know about "Vive La Vie" is that the backlighting to her nameplate changes colours!
