Port St. Charles has a new website. Many might have noticed that it was down over the last week or so to make way for cosmetic changes and software changes. Some flash was also introduced into it. http://portstcharles.com/display.php?page=7
The Alstom Marine Kogo just arrived off the Bridgetown Port at 16:30 LT. I tried to squeeze off some shots from up here but she is hidden somewhere behind the cruiseships in the harbour. I'll get her when she comes back out.
Hey, I did not really want to create another thread simply dealing with only Kogo in the Bridgetown Port so I am just putting 2 pics I took from up here this morning. Remember, I am far from the port so the zoom on the camera does alot of work.
Also, there is a Wally tender here in the Marina at another private berth. I was not aware that they were any Wally's here in Barbados.
Seems two new sail yachts sailed in the Port St. Charles Marina either late last night of this morning. I have not been able to identify them though. Now that I looked at the webcam carefully, the one at slip3 looks like Zanzibar ex Rogue?
Just caught Tatoosh leaving the Bridgetown harbour (12/04/07, 15:50 LT). She is now repositioned to the Carlilse Bay at anchor.
The Nobiskrug Tatoosh left the Carlilse Bay this morning. I did not get to see the departure. I looked out and saw her still at anchor then in the next few minutes she was gone! Have no idea where she disappeared to...I'm trying to see if she has sailed down to drop anchor off the Marina but I am not sure.
Tatoosh moved down to the Marina. Also there was the expedition Turmoil down there as well. Do not know their current status. http://www.flickr.com/photos/7546885@N08/2090352661/in/photostream/
The #3 webcam has azimuthed again and the Turmoil is in view out at one of the offshore mooring stations. While the Kaori, Zanzibar and some other smaller yachts are in slip.
Here is another look across the megayacht berths with a few yachts in slip. You may see a grey coast guard vessel, don't be alarmed, this is our Coast Guard's second 42M patrol boat. She is called the Rudyard Lewis and she sailed in this morning from the builders in Holland (Damen Yards). I assume that she is up at that marina to be cleared and processed. The 3rd is in the final phases of construction and will be delivered maybe some time early next year. Aside from that, there is a new sail yacht in the marina at slip 4. She is to the port side of the Zanzibar. Between her and Kaori, anyone have any ideas? She looks to have a red hull similar to the one spotted about 2 weeks ago, maybe the same Aphrodite I as suggested by Lars? From the PSC webcam
Here are some pics I took down at the marina this evening. I will not post all because they are so many but I'll put some nice ones.
I spotted the Palmer Johnson s/y Kaori Northbound along the West coast about 15:00LT this afternoon. She was probably coming from the Carlilse Bay and moving towards the Marina.
Ron, I've pruned this thread because there are far too many duplicate & poor quality images. One picture of a new boat in port is sufficient, but posting multiple images of the same boats that are poor quality is just a waste of bandwidth. Carl
Turmoil left offshore the marina and is currently up here at the Bridgetown Harbour. Maybe she is soon leaving the island.
The Feadship ECSTAsea just arrived off the Bridgetown Port at 17:15 LT Here she is Inbound with cruiseship Braemar outbound...
I also forgot to add that the sail yacht Aphrodite A' has been here at the marina. She is presently at slip 3.
The ECSTAsea has returned to the island. She came up at around 18:35 LT and is at anchor near Trevor's Way.
