Does anyone else think LONE RANGER's smaller domes should be painted to match the larger one?

Gibdan, does it really take a week to refuel in gibraltar (now, but obviously less at other times of the year with less demand)? It surprises me the amount of time some yachts spend there.

    Hi,

There was a yacht in Gib the other night that loaded 370,000 Lts F.O. in 3 hrs 50 mins and sailed immediately.

I have been there multiple times myself and just filled up and sailed, there are a number of reasons why yachts spend time there one being the availability of duty free stores.

All our girls used to dash into Marks & Spencers department store to buy bras and knickers. :D

Yep, we fueled for a trans Atlantic in just a morning once.

Exactly, most yachts arrive, take on fuel and leave within 3 to 6 hours. During bunkering they usually go ashore to buy supplies and more food for the ship. Those which stay for longer are either here to take advantage of the duty free stores as mentioned above, or to lengthen their stay on the Rock or just waiting for orders from their owners. Others take advantage to go aboard their yachts in Gibraltar by flying in from their own country or flying out. The airport is on only a five minute drive to the marinas! Other reasons could be for a clean up before sailing on as is the reason for the ECLIPSE which has been in and around Gibraltar for the past few days. She has had her hull scrubbed (the underwater section) and has had cleaners aboard to clean the ship,

Here's a yacht that only stayed for a few hours to take on fuel - A leaving Gibraltar on the 18th July.

Thank you for the photos Gibdan but very sad to see a Philip Rhodes design like CELESTIAL from Scheepswerf De Beer in such an abysmal state.

Either sell the boat or get her to a yard !

But do something and don't leave her like this...
