On my word, that first one of "Lauren L"...I had to look twice...for a moment she looked like she was capsizing.
My Thoughts...EXACTLY If you see the Yacht a rockin'...don't come a knockin'...or something like that! Would love to see this baby taking a hard turn to port and see how much more of the Yacht shows up... Hold on to your drinks...CHEERS!!
Hi, It would hopefully be the same if it turned to Stbd. If a vessel is rolling about whilst slow speed manoeuvring it doesn't mean she will be the same way when under way at cruise by any means.
The Motor Yacht A arriving in Gibraltar - 05.03.11 Gibdan Hope you don't mind but I took a few of this strange yacht arriving on Saturday. I have some more closeups if anyone is interested.
"A" Arriving in Gibraltar It's definietly a big yacht, scale is hard to pick up unless you see the people on board, but hardly typical of the sort of shape we get here in Gibraltar. It certainly turns a few heads though. Thanks for the info.
Yes she is deceptively big and not that easy to pick up scale. I had the same problem when I saw her here in Barbados a few times. She doesnt look like near 400 feet until you see the crew walking around or one of her tenders alongside.
commerical helos don't have the same build quality are more prone to the lements of the saltwater .. and corrosion compared to Military helo where they need to within such climates . A helo left out to the elements will take a battering like one on the bow of the Kitty Hawk it was so badly damaged it was deemed unrepairable there is footage of it on Youtube
The image you posted of the Al Suminah Would you happen to know how long the ship in the back carrying the Sub was in harbour for ???
Excellent pics Christopher. I missed her, being at work and all that. She is now in Cartagena and will be dry docked. She has taken over the same spot from LADY MOURA which had just completed her dry docking there. I understand that A will be there until about June! Colintraveller - the heavylift ship with the sub was in Gib for a couple of hours whilst she took on bunkers. LADY BRITT in Gibraltar on the 3rd March.
