Yes the helicopter on AlMirqab is Eurocopter EC155 as her heli tender with "G" registration as per one of the previous photos confirms!

Question: Can anyone explain the mechanics how this helipad shelter is operated to cover the helicopter? Is it mechanically stored under the helipad or is it a seperate covering stored somewhere? I believe it is a cover against winds/gusts.

Another beautiful creation of Lurssen and lines appear to be similar to AlSalamah the yacht of Crown Prince Sultan bin AbdulAziz. Can anybody provide more information and details of AlKatara ??? Appreciate.

Probably from the wind and also the salt evironment. Salt/sea spray isn't very good for anything out in the sea especially if it is metal. They probably put it up for the trans-Atlantic crossings.
