"NewVida" is sitting at anchor off the fisheries complex behind the Bridgetown harbour currently as I type. The unidentified yacht is still here as well. she is anchored about a few hundred feet fom NewVida.
The massive "Mayan Queen" sailed into the Bridgetown Harbour yesterday and I did not even know about it! http://flickr.com/photos/7546885@N08/3180038687 Also a fair sized fast cruising sloop left the Carlisle Bay region this evening at about dusk. I am still trying to ID her.
Here is a distance shot of the top half of "Mayan Queen" at the Cross Berth in the Bridgetown Harbour at about first light.
"Callisto" arrived off Port St. Charles Marina in the North yesterday evening, since then she has sailed up to Carlisle Bay and is currently at anchor there probably waiting for her next charter.
"Mayan Queen" is back here in Barbados and is currently berthed in the Bridgetown Harbour at Sugar Berth West.
As I informed, the 92-meter "Mayan Queen" has been here in Barbados at the Bridgetown Port for a few days. Here is a snipet of her on the "Grand Princess" webcam that is alongside as well.
I think I finally figured out what the large sloop was that I could not ID at the time she was here. I am sure it was the "Kokomo"!
"Nero" at Bridgetown After being at anchor for nearly 2 weeks outside of the Port St. Charles Marina, the modern classic "Nero" has moved and is currently sitting outside the Bridgetown Port. She is probably waiting for instructions from the Signal Station to approach the Harbour. She seem to be handling the swell pretty well, it is really breezy here in Barbados today! One or two distant pics to follow. Can you imagine the rain just came down from out of no where. I do not think I will get further photos.
"Mayan Queen" has left Barbados now and is currently in St. Thomas USVI at the Yacht Haven Grande Marina.
A very large surprise came in at the Bridgetown Port just short of twilight. "Rising Sun" is that yacht and she has just finished mooring at the Breakwater.
"Rising Sun" was just moved from the breakwater and was repositioned to the cross berth late this morning. Pictures really are a waste of time from this distance away.
"Rising Sun" Departs Bridgetown "Rising Sun" departed the Bridgetown Port and the island about an hour ago. That boat is fast! Here are some distant shots.
Two new arrivals outside of the Bridgetown Port. A sloop and motoryacht, the sloop is called "L'Ondine" and motor yacht "Amazon".
Another yacht is here, she is a motoryacht but I cannot ID her, all I can see is a mast, she is at the Cross Berth.
Not a yacht but sure interesting. Here is a Naval Submarine just pulled into the Bridgetown harbour. Interestingly, the Logos Hope trained her camera on her. Looks like a Dutch sub.
Does anyone have any idea on the make / specifics on the sail boat that Tatoosh carries on her port side? There is a slightly better image of here: http://yachts.monacoeye.com/pages/nobiskrug_tatoosh_012.html *edit* Google points to Wiki who points to Hinkley which doesn't list anything on it in their range of sailboats, however it perhaps may have been a custom build? Any info from anyone who may know would be much appreciated.
