The clips are quick and short, but if you do some Pausing you can see a lot of yachts thoughout this vid.
Simply amazing to watch these guys drift paved corners with precision. On dirt, one might expect this, but on paved roads... you gotta be good!
Carl, don't forget that all those cars are All Wheel Drive. Drifting an AWD car is even more difficult, even with the adjustability they have in their differentials... (trust me on that). If ever I get the download of the Monte Carlo event I'll take some screen caps of the yachts they briefly show... it'll be plenty of fodder for the Trivia Puruit thread.
Great video. I like the soundtrack . Thanks for posting it. It's really cool how the Subaru takes that U-turn @ min. 1:05.
With the rubber these guys are using, it isn´t really that hard. I managed to drive like this on my first attempt with a Rallycross Quattro. The problem is rather to maintain a high speed and not just producing smoke...
TK-430, Your last post has been removed and it WILL BE the last time you will post images of this nature. This is a respectable forum that has been built on the exchange of relevant information, not images of Babes in Bikinis. In addition, I kindly asked you to change your avatar a while back, in which you replied you would do this when you took delivery of your boat. Sorry bro, we're not on your time frame. Change your avatar, or I will do it for you.
It's also not exactly hard to do when one considers the hp and torque figures these WRC cars are putting out. But like you said Lars, it's hard to do well.
The car I was playing with belonged to an ex European Champion and I think it was 400 hp on 800 kg weight. We were taking pictures for ads and billboards and when he was driving it didn´t smoke half as much as when I drove. So we used the pictures with me...
Come on Carl, it was only meant as a joke. They weren't offensive. No harm with a little laugh. Anyway, no disrespect meant.
TK, you have to be careful with the images. This is a forum that has worked entirely hard to reach its reputation and porpulaity and done so with a number of valuable members and forum leaders. I don't think we need to lower the standard and the quality of this forum. The forum is about yachts and very closely related topics. Lets just keep it that way for the benefit of everyone involved. Its not a problem to post pics to my knowledge but you have to be mindful of the content of them and relavance and so on.
As a youngun I used to enjoy Fiat Abarths and Lancia Betas as well as few others. Now I find that I do like my comforts a bit more attuned to my scrawny old carcass. Hmmm. Perhaps... http://www.glumbert.com/media/bugatti
I am with you Codger, do you think we can get a discount on two... I catched one at the Monaco Yacht Show:
AMG Did you take it out for a spin? I have not been anywhere to see one in the flesh let alone drive one. Apparently VW have done a great job on the fit and finish as well as the mechanicals.
You think I'm below standard . Some people like their food spiced, some like it bland. I was just adding some spices. Anyway, I get the message .
