I'd like to add a different kind of thanks:

Being a tech-head (and before this thread sees the dark side of the Archive Process) this has me in stitches. I'm laughing out loud right now because Carl has that wonderful way about slapping you and you asking for another, no sooner than you thank him for the first one.

    -Cheers!

On August 3rd, we mitigated YachtForums to a new server with updated, faster hardware, but several days later I noticed our cPanel had stopped recording YF's stats, i.e., Hits, Visitors, Pages, kBytes transferred, etc. We missed a full 10 days of stats, which happened to be the busiest 10 days we've ever had on YF.

We averaged 12,000 to 14,000 visitors each day in this time period, with Hits in excess of 1.2 million each day. Once I reset the stat counter, we recorded the remainder of August, which accumulated 217,464 Unique Visitors. If I add the lost 10 days of Visitors, this brings us to a minimum of 337,464 visitors for August. Although this number is a conservative estimate, I cannot document it. Still, it looks like we bested our August record. :)

    Hi, Carl.
    Congrats on the milestone!
Too bad we lost the Analytics for 10 days.
I would have done the same thing and extrapolated the data for August.
    Great work, boss!

First, congrats Carl, for making the Big Numbers. Thanks to all who contribute to the knowledge base..you know who you are.

Now, as to the Missing Ten Days, listen: if Bubba out by the Interstate can reset the odometer on a puke yellow 1986 Yugo, surely any rank amateur technogeek can 'reset' YF numbers to the Correct Level.

    Just sayin'...

Congratulations Carl. It is a bit refreshing that a Webmaster/site owner would give back the praises to the users.
