Was it somewhere in the Red Sea?

Both Kevin and Arniev found part of the answer.
So, the total of both is now right.
May I suggest a joint question?
    Carl?

    Kevin should post the question.
He came up with Aviva first.

Ok... I'm not nearly as knowledgable as most of you guys all are, but I'll do my best to come up with something trivia-like:

What is 'out of the ordinary' about how and where M/Y Touch was built?

The yacht was built in Saint Eustache, Province of Quebec, by a company that is better known as a public works contractor. I understand that the owner of the construction company also owns the yacht. Most of the subs are also local people: naval architect, interior designer. I have heard that the hull may have been built somewhere else.

Basically you got it Cognac. :) (Although having lived in Saint Eustache a few years ago, I can't imagine where he might have built it...) Nearly all the build crew involved with the project had never even worked on a yacht before. The build manager was a yacht designer with experience in sailing vessels, but had no experience with a motor yacht.

And you're right about the hull. It started life as a 91 footer, which Accurso purchased in 1994 from an auction.

(It figures another local would know about this one... :D)

    You're up next!

In 1988, a famous italian designer took delivery of a great looking blue hulled yacht. I am looking for 1. Yacht's name 2. Naval architect's name 3. Shipyard's name.

Clues : The yard is no longer in existence ( it has been taken over by another famous italian yard. The architect passed away at a very young age in the early 1990's

Gee I tought this would be an easy one specially for our european friends. One more clue, the yard's name is Picchiotti. I also alluded to the blue hull, blue is also part of the yacht's name.

Another Viareggio shipyard launched another dark blue hulled yacht for another famous designer in 2003. What´s the name of the yacht and the designer/owner?

Yes René, it is Mariù, the yacht Georgio Armani named after his late mother.

Probably inspired by Valentinos yacht, but Armani waited until he turned 70 before he bought this yacht, after many years of chartering...

    You are next!
