Here is a look at this comprehensive 'conversion'. The exterior still maintains similar to its previous look but the interior has been totally changed more in line with a superyacht. This is the 46-meter "Scintilla Maris" and has now been delivered to her owner after work at Damen Maaskant.
She's down in the Halifax harbour at present. I'm going to try to get down there tomorrow and snap some pics if I can. I'm curious to see her up-close. Interestingly, she's still identified as a "trawler" on Marine Traffic.
Not quite a conversion but she did have alot of work done to get her to her current stage, in fact she got a whole new aft section and new bow while under refit growing her length by some 6-meters. "Ursus" was relaunched back in January, 2025 and has been undertaking sea trials. The upper deck was also extended giving an much larger aft portion to the sundeck and having the tender crane further aft. Before and after is quite stark.
