Why Do Motor Yachts Have Large Forward Masts?

    I am looking at 80m newbuild right now that will use one so I don't know where you get the info that they are no longer allowed.

    I working for a company that produces equipment for megayacht,
    and one yard tell us mca don't accept telescopic mast.
    I have check on the Lloyd's register rules and I don't finde nothing regarding the telescopic mast

    Hi,

    Ask the yard for the approved Navigation Light drawing.

    Assuming this is for a foremast there should be a note on the drawing stating what is not approved, it will often appear as line of text and numbers that will refer to a letter that accompanies the drawings.
