    The hatteras 54’ would be my choice, they’re a terrific riding and running boat, either with c30’s or c32’s. C 30’s we’re more efficient 32 knots at 122 gph

    Out of idle curiosity, do you possibly remember also the weight of the Hat 54?
    Almost 4 gallons/nautical mile doesn't sound very efficient to me, for a 54 footer.

    Anytime you're pushing a boat much past 25 knots, you're burning LOTS of fuel. NADA says 74,000 lbs
