They delivered a new style 125 ft. last year named "Black Gold" , don't know about the 112 ft. Maybe its a serial Westport owner.

Extremely childish and potentially dangerous. I've been in that marina/yacht basin dozens of times and I can't imagine it was in a slip (they're far too small), so it must have been tied up alongside in the turning basin. I am a bit surprised they didn't have anchor alarms that would have alerted crew, or at least the ship's master, that the vessel was adrift.

I know some don't set anchor alarms when docked but it's advisable to do so. This isn't the only incident like this I'm aware of recently. One was a new boat on Lake Washington. On it, someone was in going to board the boat and likely steal it. He was aboard and woke and scared them off. This article doesn't say if the crew was aboard. These things happen more often than most realize and the only reason we're reading about the Westport 164 is the owner. Otherwise, it wouldn't even be newsworthy.

That's an assumption that may or may not be true at all. The other person I know who had the same thing happen this month is not in politics.

Had it happen to me in Martha's Vineyard. Drunk owner on the inside dock was pissed that I was blocking his view for an important dinner and would not move during it.
Later that night he untied several lines, only thing that saved us was the tender tied to the dock and the boat.

The family owns it with many more. $5000 damage on a $40 million boat, for a billionaire family. And that is news...….

That harbor is pretty small and with pretty well closed access from the road. I'm suspecting there's more to this. But I doubt anymore will be heard as the amount of damages we're really insignificant.

It's actually a great improvement over the most recent sites as they'd played around the last couple of changes and the site had, in my opinion, been made far worse. Now, I like the new site. It functions, it's fast. The interactive boat plans are a prime example as they haven't been very easy to use for the last couple of renditions. Finally. Thank you, Westport.

Now they need to proof their site. I've found several broken links and expansions that don't work, brochures not there. Please people. Demand more out of your web developers. It should all be 100%. Thank god they don't build boats like their developers do websites. Set your standards the same, please. Took me 15 minutes and I am not even being paid. I just would never accept the sloppiness defeating a very nice new site.

They don't share news much. It is what it is. No news of buyers or boats. No news of what's to come. No telling you five times of every boat sold. They do have a newsletter. I very much love their respect for privacy.
