Today M/V Floretgracht came from England with a new S62 Viking Princess and will unload in Cleveland Ohio for a local Viking Dealer and the other yacht I am not sure where it is going.
The same Viking Dealer has three new Absolute coming from Italy.
M/V Gardon departed Italy April 28/20 and will take about thirty days to get to the Welland Canal.
The three Absolutes will be in the ship's hold so will not be able to get pictures. Capture.PNG Capture.PNG Capture.PNG

Thanks Rodger... I guess there is way to circumvent the restriction for our boats. Just put them on an upbound freighter. :)

I'm surprised, considering their location, that Absolute was able to finish and ship those boats.

They might not be 100% finished. They might've loaded up whatever remaining fit out materials they needed (electronics, etc. etc.) and shipped the boats with the materials on board and plan to ship personnel to meet the boat and finish it here......I'm not saying that is what is going on, but I have seen builders do that in the past when they had to have a boat here by a deadline and ran out of time...….several times for FLIBS, I've seen builders do that for example.

Rodger this may sound like a dumb question but since the Canal is in CDA will pleasure boats from USA be allowed or is it considered a bonded area?

Yep that's what we've been told. When I worked on Salties, we never put anything on deck like that.

Looks like the red ship is clearly the winner of bumper boats there. Rodger, did you hear the reason for the collision? Lack of power? steering? etc?

Starboard to starboard no less. Looks like someone was on the wrong side of the road.

There's a lock in the middle that is two locks (side by side) so ships going in different directions can pass. One lock is for smaller ships and the other lock bigger ones. It's plausible one was leaving the one lock and the other entering the smaller lock and that's why they were starboard to starboard.
