Lars, Any thought as to putting some solar panels on the flat roof areas forward and aft of the skylight?
I was thinking of putting them on the roof aft of the flybridge, but since we almost always will have more electric power than we need, they could not be justified.
Thanks Lars, I guess with plug-in capability while at a dock and the on-board generators one would be fairly well set. My guess is adding some aftermarket solar panels in the location you mentioned wouldn't be all that difficult if one so desired. By the way, integrating the outdoor galley with the radar tower is pretty slick.
Thanks, yes there will be an electric BBQ and wetbar up there. While at anchor the fumes from cooking should go away from the guests...
It's been my experience that no matter where I sit or stand in relation to the BBQ grill smoke always gets drawn to my face like it's a smoke magnet.
As if you have been hiding under a rock for a few years here is our review on Delta Powerboats' current top-of-the-range model, the 54 IPS. Review: Delta Powerboats 54' IPS Express Yacht - YachtForums.Com 54 IPS | Delta Powerboats
I have a subscription to MBY magazine and just recieved the online version of the may edition. Nice Delta IPS 80 coming soon advert.....................how soon is coming soon? I am getting curious.
Hi Lars. I saw your 54' Cruiser go up the New River yesterday flying a Swedish flag. Were you onbard, or did the boat get sold to another Swede...? (I was the cool guy with a big dog in an 18' Panga called River Rat.)
I saw the Delta 54 returning to Port Everglades. Wondered too if she was on a pre-purchase survey or perhaps just getting out to stretch her legs and strut her stuff. I've seen her numerous times and she's still striking every time! (I was on the cool looking 65' steel trawler). Judy
Came across some vids of what looks to be a Delta 33 Open at Monaco! MONACO Yacht SHOW 2013 - 25 September 2013 - YouTube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SlMLwckDeAk&list=UUU3W8V2d_GAOw0-_RwOWr0g This one was designed by Ted Mannerfelt fitting in nicely with those penned by Lars. Great exposure for Delta to have a tender cruising around the harbor during the show.
Yes, it was our friend Fabrice running the D33 as a tender for brokerage yachts in the bay. This boat will now be shipped to the FLIBS. Meanwhile we launched the first Delta 80 IPS yesterday. She will now be fitted out and tested before delivery. Here are a lot of pictures in a local newspaper; Galerii: Roomassaares lasti vette hiidkaater DELTA 80 IPS - Eesti uudised - Postimees.ee
The first you can see in the link above, the second is also sold and under construction for delivery before next summer. The third deal is pending...
Looks great. I read that post, but somehow forgot to actually read it or click on the link. Now to talk Carl into getting a review. Congrats Lars.
If this wasn't posted by you AMG, I would question the authenticity. Is it me, or does this look digitally rendered? For sure, the one aspect that looks real is the how high the hull is running out of the water; a characteristic I've associated with Delta boats designed by the legendary Lars Modin.
