I read that Wally and Hermes have gone separate directions on the WHY Project? WHY after all the publicizing? lol
I read somewhere else that Hermes wanted to get out of the project due to their lack of interest in the project. Project is still going forward, just without Hermes. Plan to sign contract this year for launch 2013.
Thanks for the info, so then, is there a new partner onboard or Wally will be simply doing it as a one-off build?
This is all I have seen (seems a Wally build with sales partners)--- "WALLY partners with leading brokers YCO and YPI to fully exploit WHY’s sales worldwide" http://www.why-yachts.com/pdf/May-27-2010.pdf I have sent an email out to the WHY team, and am still awaiting an answer. I will post as soon as I can.

The Wally Class 2010 Overall winner is Magic Carpet Squared: congratulations to the owner and the crew that keep the eight year old yacht at the highest completive level! Congratulations as well to the passionate owners and the crew of Kenora, the ten year old Wally winner of the 2010 Perfomance Division, that came back to the racing circuit after many years. www.********* ***
I was not even aware that Wally had a brand new look website. I just stumbled upon it!! looks great! URL remains the same.
As you know she was recently launched. Here is another photo of the sloop christened as "Better Place".
Lol I was looking at the photo elsewere and 10 secounds later you posted it. As we say in German "Two stupids, one mind" I like her overall design, I think "Better Place" looks really cute but it seems that the blue colour is no protective film, it is her final colour...urgh... Wally has a rendering of her in blue on their website.
