Hi again, I don't think so. I think (from the little that I know) the problem has to do with the elements inside the black box of the EVC. Specifically elements C1, C2, C3 and C5 may have absorbed humidity and need to change. Or, the EVC needs reconfiguration or a restart. I am 100% certain that the engine works well and strong.
Another sensor that should be checked or swapped is the air sensor 31355463 (No. 19 in the picture). They are giving intermittent problems on the D4/D6 range as they are getting older. It's a lot cheaper than ordering a new EVC. Hi, I have the D3-160A. I have the D3-160A. Do you know if the air sensor has been registered to be giving problems to the D3 range?
I'm not on a Volvo computer at the moment but I'm pretty sure it's the same part no. across the D3-160 range. Take the sensor out and check the number printed on the top. No, it's not a recall part, just my experience with Volvos.
