The Trinity Yachts megayacht "Glaze" has been sold! Built by Trinity as "Lady Michelle" in 2007 she entered the charter market with a flag blue hull she was sold a few years after and then became Glaze with a new candied bronze hull colour. Since then she has also been in the charter market and now she has been sold again. She was asking 17.9 million Euros. We shall see what her next incarnation will be.
"Perla Blu" backing into her berth in Cannes...looks like a Trinity from the design... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XX3F_j_ckvk&list=PLi6PbZ2zYH2a7jtlx_A-Dal2gBaygrdOw
Anyone knows what happened with "Reem 1"? Was she delivered? She was probably for a Middle Eastern client.
She should be leaving Mississippi in about 2 weeks for FT L where she will meet the Dockwise to be delivered to her new owner in Dubai. If all goes to plan, I should be there when that all happens and hopefully I can get some cool boat porn pics to post
I'm confused. The 49-meter Trinity..."Maidelle" (ex."Meridian...") was sold to be renamed "La Dea II". Now the Icon "Maidelle" was sold and is now called Meridian... is there some connection there?
Trinity yacht "Expresso III" has now been renamed following her sale. New name is... "Chevy Toy", a name very familiar on quite a few past Trinity builds.
Perhaps someone will get a good deal??!! ICAP.com | ICAP Auction Details As recently as January 2014 she was listed for €35,000,000 or $47,572,000 at current exchange rates.
Oops Looks like someone hasn't been paying the bills. Looks like the crew areas where cleaned out. Sad.
Thanks for the info. I believe this has been discussed to some extent but how often to people finance mega yachts? I could see the rational of having less cash tied up so that you are more liquid for other investments, especially if they the owner is trying to leverage almost free money right now (not sure the going interest rate for a yacht from a well qualified individual). I feel that in bus situation the yacht was most likely repossessed because it was collateral in another situation which is probably more common but is it common at all to finance these mega yachts?
