This is why car designers shouldn't design yachts...

Out for a walk, this is parked outside my hotel. Looks plenty contemporary in this color and with the blackout headlights. I've had a string of Land Cruisers, but can't get excited about another. Too sophisticated, complicated, huge, impersonal. This would get me interested again.

Pininfarina did a couple designs for Magnum in the eighties, the 70 and 63 where fine tuned by him and in the nineties he did the Azimut 65 Pininfarina.

He also did the design for Bruno Abbate Primatist G46, G53 and G62 and G70 models. Apart the 70 which sold only the rest has been a good success (46 sold over a hundred units) for this medium to small Italian boat builder.
