Hello! This is my best Christmas gift thank you so very much I will write to her and I hope to get a complete documentation once again a big thank you Eric Finni
Good point k1w1... Erik, if you google their name it seems that he is a doctor here in WI and you can probably find his telephone # as well. I've only been in Milwaukee for a couple of years (actually moved back here from stockholm area) but I asked a few people around our club if the knew of him but nobody did. Good luck!!
Hello! You are so right I've seen a few movies as a woman and man can be called Kelly I have already e-mail to her for what seems to be a woman because she lives with a man but who knows in these times lol I'm just so happy I learned a little about the previous owner so with old cars and boats, they get a different value if I know a little about their history Eric Finni
Hey now, I have get contact with the previous owner of our boat, unfortunately, he had only had her a short time but I have gained valuable information about the boat's history and stuff like that's really funny. Erik the Swed
Erik, I am orginally from Waukesha WI, which is next to Sussex... My parents had a 35' Bayliner while I was growing up and I remember your boat from then, I think I even have some pictures of it from the early 90's there were a few 37' Roamers in Milwaukee back then but I think this one was the only flybridge. My dad was friends with one of the guys who had another 37' and he always talked about this one saying he wished he could put diesels in his.
Hello! but how wonderful I think I've won the lottery I have traced the previous owner and he has told us much about our boat, unfortunately, he had only a few months in 2005 what wonderful that you have seen her in the 90's I would be so happy if you can tell you more about her, your parents may have some clues like pictures of the boat my wife and I have really made a journey from the time we decided to buy her, I have not put so many pictures recently, but the project rolls on and I'll try to post more pictures now, I agree to replace all wood with grid Moreover, should I replace the rudder tubes, I can see that you also work with your Roamer, you have no pictures of the Erik the Swed
Erik, Ill see if I can dig up some pictures and ill ask my dad if he remembers anything on it, its a unique boat and I'm glad to see it all fixed up and returned to her former glory! I love the styling of the Rivieras and I hope to get one some day if I ever get mine finished. -Andrew
thrust bearing Erik, where did you find the 'universal' joints? Are they something you made? can you post pictures from the other side of the plate you installed. What kind of bearing is installed there? Art
hello I have built the entire unit. My friend Mike made the most he has a nice workshop ball bearing is a thrust bearing that takes up the entire propeller force the double universal joints is from a Cadillac entire unit will cost $ 700 factory-applied cost $ 3000 Aqua Drive is the name a Swedish invention. No more vibration you can install soft engine mounts I've just installed it on the starboard engine, but this spring is the time and fix the other engine I'm going to photograph the entire unit so you can see what it looks like this year I will replace the seals to both propeller shafts . hope you understand my bad English.http://www.aquadrive.com/ Erik the swed
Hi. It is a simple CV joint , some of the particulars might vary but these can be found in a lot of junk yards.
CV joint, Ahhhh. Kiwi, Thanks for that info. My limited automotive experience was back when cars were rear wheel drive only and our 'universal joints' were only half of what I see here. I had never seen a CV joint. I was considering an Aqua-Drive, but cringed at the cost. Erik, don't appologize for your English. You're doing great. The only Swedish words I know is smorgasbord and Saab ! They do not come into a boating conversation very often.
Hi, If you are going to have a go at building one search the net for Double Cardan U Joint. Here is a link to photos of them. double cardan u joints - Google Search The basic parts are exactly the same as in your old cars drive shaft, the UJ's are just closer together. The Steel Plate behind the Coupling in the Photo from Onerios is where he has his thrust bearing mounted, this is not a part of the double U Joint and will be something you need to deal with as well if you are making one up.
Hi SAAB stands for Swedish airplanes company they built the aircraft and it looks at how well these cars are designed ok back to the propeller shafts there are any other manufacturers that you can check out. I'm a bit of an inventor and be able to self build on our boat gives me a lot, we have lots of snow so in two weeks I'll start with my boat projects then I can shoot pictures of all the parts for universal joints Erik Finni
