    Hi,

    What's the weather forecast for tomorrow?

    If it's good I think we will burn on over.

    sweaters

    Hi,

    i was going to do a second report this year (i planned to go today), but frankly, i'm to lazy this year, so i'll skip it.

    I love the Hiswa, but i'm getting a bit fed up with all those guys in tomato red trousers with sweaters around their shoulders :eek:

    Glad you did the report!

    I miss a few things i would have loved to see more of though;
    Rapsody had 2 novelties, among them the huge "November" lobster boat.
    Strange that such a big boat (16 + mtr.) comes suddenly out of a yard that used to make boats from about 7 mtr's - 11 mtr's.
    When i first saw it i had a suspicion that it came from a sideline from Mochi..(actually, i still do):rolleyes:

    Great photos, thanks, especially from the viewpoint of a Yank.
    But for the great unwashed--myself included!--what does 'HISWA' stand for?

    Thanks for the photos. How do you get the captions under each photos? When I attach photos, they are on top of one another.

    @ Loren: The HISWA was founded in 1932 and means:
    “Nederlandsche Vereeniging voor Handel en Industrie op het Gebied van Scheepsbouw en Watersport”.
    Translated: Dutch Association of Commerce, Industrie for Shipbuilding and Watersports.

    rapsody growing bigger

    as to my knowledge turkish builder egemar is building the rapsody boats and they have recently built a 74 footer lobster boat, being the largest in their serial production.

    Correction?

    @ Nilo: I already made a correction. These are not Apreamare's or Rapsody's but made by Breedendam i thought. (Breedendam MTB 33)

    I know the connection between the two for aprt of the production, but thi seems to be a different animal all together; check this link for the ship i mean;
    http://www.rapsody.nl/Dutch/showroom_55ft.php

    Maybe i overlooked this one at the egemar site though

    Breedendam, in contrary to a part of the Rapsody production, are absolutely not build by Egemar; these are built in Holland, hence their high prize.

    rapsody boats

    you may be right. my knowledge is that the rapsody boats are built in turkey by egemar under an agreement and not all the models may be built by egemar.

    Breedendam is not a model, but a brand, offering a range from sloop to the Lobsterlike boats of the picture.

    Neventheless, Turkey has a lot of excellent crafsman and a growing number of wharfs like Egemar and Proteksan that prove this; i am aware of this and i think a growing number of boatlovers are too:)

    Hi Coen,

    The image of the last yachts are not a Mulder 73, but simply the 59 Hardtop.
    Thanks for the nice images:cool:
