    What's the point in having a forum regarding Carver yachts if a person can't ask where can I buy a spiral stair for my Carver yacht and receive an answer to where they can buy a spiral stair for their Carver yacht? Totally ridiculous that that kind of question can't be answered.

    In the early years our forum was inundated by commercial interests trying to exploit our platform. Keeping spammers at bay was a full time job. It still is on some days. In this particular case, the company making the stairs returned under multiple screen names posing as an independent third party to promote their wares. Essentially, fake reviews.

    What sets internet forums apart from other forms of social media is good moderators that read between the lines of opportunity seeking fraudsters. We do this to not only protect you, but to protect the integrity of information we’ve amassed over the years.
