Nope. US laws apply to US flagged vessels wherever they are.

    And THANK GOD FOR THAT!

Come on guy’s hell this are pathetic responses form you. It seems to me that you have a bee in your bonnet with anything that is not American or going according to American rules. If you want to go into politics and discrimination and the rest join the UN. This is a yachting forum not a political forum. All this person did is post a job with his requirements. In the job section in news papers you still specific requirements by businesses.
I will be too scared to post something here in the future because of the negative remarks a person gets here by certain individuals . This is NOT AN American Forum but an international forum. If you have a problem with what people want keep it to yourself or write a private mail to them.
Then the remark on who would want to live in Istanbul. Hell have you ever lived there or have you just seen pictures. Usually people that make remarks like this have either never been there or has never even traveled outside of their own country. Whoever takes the job knows what he is getting himself into.
It is the same as me saying hell who would want to move to Fort Lauderdale with all the trailer park trash. There is enough **** going on in this world then to come to a forum that I enough just to read more negative remarks. I am not anti American as I lived in the US for 4 years and i visit the USA once a year but you don’t see me or other people pointing out the negative issues that America has got. There is no country in this world that is perfect. So let’s stick to the Topic of yachting.

And yet here you dive right in. And for someone who is
you sure seem to have a bone to pick as they were the only ones mentioned and several times at that. As for me, my comment was about the wording of one particular help wanted ad; NOT the Turkish peoples and the topic was well covered 4 months ago.
