    They were just re-bedded, which is one of the reasons it at Lambs. Apparently it didn't eliminate the rattle. I will be back on the boat on Thursday and plane to run it on Friday. I will check for play in the rudder arm/connecting rod.

    Had a loose rudder connection I could hear making a clacking noise when the autopilot would activate while trolling, but could not hear it underway. All good after tightening.

    Good ideas on the rudder gear.
    Well I’ll just add it to my list for my boat, to check over my 39 year old rudder stuff...I do have a mystery vibration at higher RPM . But it’s not bad enough for me to worry to much about. Been living with it for a while.
    But leaving it, things do grow into bigger problems.

    Did the yard toe-in the rudders? If they are completely parallel, they would rattle from the minor amount of slack in the rudder tie bar. Toe-in helps the boat in terms of directional stability and is commonly done.
