Repower with Electric Drive?

I feel your topic is timely based on the push to demonize ICE powered vehicles and boats are certainly to follow (and as of 2023 they certainly are). At this time there are multiple workable electric motor and LiPo battery solutions available, although the cost is still very high. I'd expect the cost to come down a bit as the technology matures and the volume increases. I have a 48 foot Chris Craft Catalina and based on what I'm seeing transpiring around me feel it's only a matter of time until ICE boats are prohibited from certain areas such as areas designated as national parks, marine sanctuaries, etc. At 61 years old I may not be boating long enough to have to deal with the revolutionary transition of marine power-plants but just in case I'm watching for best options!
