    Capt J. Where do you get your fender whips from? The ones from west marine are too short for a boat my size. Do you just but 3/8” dock lines and shorten them?

    Yes, but I don't shorten them. I use 15' docklines and actually prefer 1/2", but use 3/8" at times on larger fenders. I keep them 15' so if I have to hang the fender vertically, or if I have to hang the fender horizontally near the waterline, they reach. Also if you have to tie to something other than the bow rail, the length is needed at times.

    Does anyone know if Fend-Aire is out of business? I have 4 of there fenders with hole in the center for rope and had them replaced years ago due to the air plug getting gummy and would not hold air. But I can not find them online.

    Aere fenders have a small serial/date patch on the end with the valve.
