    PtJude ,

Excellent boat, I have a 2000 50' total redone topsides 5 years ago, not a crack
comming back. Portland Boat Works in Connecticut fixed it, looks like it just came
out of the show room. Good luck .

    Beau,

Paul took my 43 post in on trade for the 50'. The price approx 100k , they removed the gel-coat ground down all the cracks , faired the surface and painted with awlgrip . The
fore deck all non skid surface as the cock pit.

$100,000 is the estimate I received to do the same work on mine. Since we repaired the cockpit sole and bottom, the rest of the cracking is just not that extreme to me to justify that cost. Since my estate will have to worry about the resale value, I think mine will stay just the way it is. IMO the 50' with 820 mans is one of the best boats ever built. Good luck with yours. Look for Bodacious if you're going to be cruising the LI sound? My larder is always filled with rum....

Congrats on the boat, I agree i think the 50 is one of the nicest production boats out there. I would love to own one but am going to settle for an old 46
