re-power CC Roamer Offshore (38ft)

    it looks like he

    is offering a motor which makes 270 hp. he mentioned 2,400 - 2,900 rpm as the operating range which should give me something like 240hp & 500 ft# at 2,500 rpm...... my Walter V-Drives are 2.5:1. i am apparently over-propped for the Wedge motors with 300 HP/400ft# at 3,500 rpm. would i change the V-Drive reduction ratio's ? or ?????? (still hoping for 30 mph cruise and good economy out of fully dependable motors)

    You could always install a pair of 502's that will give you 380 hp each, and make parts in the future easy to come by

    i gave up.

    i gave the boat away to a boatyard. they will get it going and sell it. i really appreciate all of the help you guys gave to me !
