Project Platinum Launched

I only had one calender to begin with, but was willing to part with it for Platinum pics. Here's what I can do... each year I receive a few calenders around November/December from our favorite builders. I'll put 'em up for grabs among active members towards the end of the year.

As with almost all the skills in Dubai, they most likely will have been imported. That's the unfortunate thing of Dubai. It does not have any own soul, apart from the fact then that you can fid the biggest superlatives and most expensive goods and toys there.

But you must hand it to them, they do now how to make something from nothing (well just sand) and enormous amounts of money. It really is the embodiement of the saying : Everything is possible given time and money.

Personally, I find it a somewhat disturbing atmosphere, everything feels "fake" and put-in-place. It just doesn't feel right, but that obviously is something totally personal. No-one has to agree on this

What is right or what is wrong??? Who builds the Pyramids , the Eiffel tower or the Empire state building, who cares ? nobody!!! Its only the final object that lives further that cares. Everything on this planet made by humans are put in place ...., is it fake?

That's pretty much the nature of any city that springs up with explosive growth. Same thing was true of Phoenix, where I now live. But time does "heal" these things. After living here a few years I can see that Phoenix does have its own charm. Cities come in lots of flavors. Just like everything in life.
