  1. My contribution

Well... I know I am not important in this forum, but here any way is my contribution. As I am unemployed since 2 years, I have time to do those things. Maybe in my screen shot people would mix and click the posts in my screen shot posts, I already see... but you can see many mouses arrows on it. :D Any way I made in one of my Samsung NC10 Laptop 13'' (maybe is something like 10 inchs, I don't know anymore) 1024x600 High Full Screen the results in 22 Frames combines using the Scroll down using all posts of first page this thread as example (positions are seen at right of each frame, common used for just reading and writing) [to see the ads on right, I have to scroll to right, never do any way] {In my other Laptop Sony Vaio 16.4" Full HD X-black LCD (1920x1080), it is possible to see all much more than enough, smaller, better resolution for graphics works rarely done} So here you are, hope appreciated the different complete shown for the objective is to be know, I don't know what this is, it doesn't matter! For the goal this thread seems a good example of what I see. If you need more explanations, open to answer flexible properly. Enjoy the pics.

OBS: Each Frame is sized 640x210 until 213 high, cut of what is not from browser necessary, scrolls kept to show all how is to me in this computer, resized some 20 -> 35 KB uploadible in jpg less quality than Png, which does not allow more for more quality. Here you are:

(Each Frame is sized from 0.99 MB 1024x337, total combined 1024x7419 3,25MB, sorry not possible to be showed here, so the smaller version, hope comprehension in this fact)

    Hi,

Here is my screen shot with the open windows and bookmarks toolbar hidden.

    Attached Files:

  3. Post #5 of sequence: 640x210 (in rules), the rest 2 of bottom #1 page this thread.

Frames: 21-22 of each about some 20 to 30 KB, YF#.jpg

PS: Owner of administrators are free to remove, if this was already seen and useble in some way, positive if it had helped or keep if necessary. I don't know, it was 22 pictures of about 30KB in average, ~ some 660 KB to your System. Thanks for the opportunity appreciating that.

  5. I am sorry, didn't know, but it was not written in the beginning this thread. So my results in the page you showed is I have to scroll a lot to see everything. Possible to do, but i will not do screen shots, because it would be a lot of frames again, lazy for that. Any way, for me is never a problem to scroll, while i prefer seeing bigger pictures even to see all details better.

I'm concerned the resolution for some of our viewers is 800 x 600 or 1024 x 768, which makes reading the editorial impossible w/o scrolling. While most of us are at resolutions higher than 1280 x 960, which present no scrolling problems, many of our readers are a little older and require larger fonts for words to be legible. 900 pixel pics will be an inconvenience for these folks. Worse, it's an annoyance that could result in a loss of readers.

I'm going to try 900 pixels for one review. Appropriately, we'll go with Big pics for Big Fish.

Thanks to everyone for your help!

For some reason I can't post the screenshot, but on my screen (at work) the bow of the boat and about the next 15' of the hull on your test page is cut off, as are all the ads on the right side of the screen.

Well, you have not used the full screen for the browser I guess?

On my 27" iMac it looks like this when all over the screen. No need for scrolling sideways...

Can't seem to attach a screen shot from the iPhone 4 but the banner is much narrower than the screen. I'll email it to you Carl.

Thanks Chris, but I've got an I4. I've got a problem with the header at 900 pixels. Hope to resolve it. Actually, the problem exists all the way down to 640 pixels on the iPhone, but I doubt anyone reads the reviews from a PDA.

Yep, it's a problem at low res. I've always known it, but there's only 24 hours in a day and I need 36. Thanks Mr. D!

    Carl,

I am not sure of the work or coding involved, but I have also been seeing on some other (non YF related) forums where you post a photo and it is automatically downsized to a specific dimension. You can then click on it to enlarge it.

This may be going too much work after all the new work. I was just wondering if this was a viable option, or not. It could also be a bandwidth issue I guess, not sure. I do not know about forum software.

    'roundthehorn,

Why not increase resolution on your monitor? It would probably look better.
