I was out on the bay tonight in the small boat (a pilot house) with some friends who are non boaters. It was frigid, but they had a blast going to a waterfront restaurant in this winter weather. dinner was awesome! I am not sure if I am allowed to mention the name of the restaurant. PM me if you want the name and the lat/lon for the restaurant.
UUAAHHGGAA I've gotta raspberry for that. The weather has not allowed me to varnish anything and our friends up north have their teeth still rattling. Hit us again with your abuse when the kids up north thaw out. BTW the way, My wife found a treatment that will clean those black grain streaks. For a proper drink (cheap rum of course), I'll forward her recipe. ,rc
Well, Lets try this again... Reposting after yesterdays delete... My latest adventure took me over to he Bahamas. Leaving out of Ft. Lauderdale, I had around a 2' swell out of the east, and we cruised easily at 26 kts., making the 48 mile run to Bimini in shortly over 2 hours. Leaving the country for the first time via my own boat was a great feeling. I conjured my inner Magellan, and felt as though I was the first person discovering this beautiful Island. Once tied up at Bimini Big Game, clearing customs was a cakewalk, and then we could relax in the beautiful Bahama weather, which was 82 and a cloudless sky. We spent the next few days exploring, snorkeling, fishing, and enjoying the family. All in all, a great trip, and one I hope to repeat in a few years with some more time. Also, if the owner of Miss Pearl (looks to be an older 46'??) is here, Great looking boat! Very very well maintained!
Your posts were not deleted. Our server crashed and YF was moved to an interim server while new hardware is being sourced. We had to reboot from a back-up that was 24 hours old, long before you posted the pictures above. Good to see you guys enjoying your Posts!
Are not these Post Kids great. Maybe a free membership this year or something for those pictures. (LOL). ,rc
Just spent the week in Hilton Head with the family. Here is the old 46 at the docks at Shelter Cove Marina. Spent 3 nights at Harbor Town Marina and then 2 nights at Shelter Cove. Really enjoyed both Marinas.
Same View but from the Bridge Finally - after a very long cold and snowy winter. The "frozen" picture is the same area but from March 8th. I took it on a return flight from overseas.
JRP Beautiful. I think you run your bow higher than I do. What's your cruise at 1950 rpm? I have 820's
Beau, my boat runs around 28 knts at 1850. I would guess I'm around 30 knts at 1950. In that picture I was running around 1850. Over the winter I had the bottom stripped and barrier coated and finished with VC17. I think I picked up a little speed. I have the 820's as well.
JRP I'm at 1950 rpm in my picture, but I usually run between 1800-1850, about 27 knots, burning about 45 gph
