    Good News...

I recieved confirmation today from Oceanco that pictures of the Y701 Expedition will be supplied to us on a continuing basis. This will continue throughout the building process, so we can follow the development... right up to the launch.

With the NEW YachtForums coming online in a few weeks, along with our new categorized hi-res gallery, this will be the perfect place for these construction pictures.

Looking forward with great enthusiasm! :)

    Good News!

This yacht will probably be the best they have ever built as well, at least from the renderings I have seen... :)

    Good news.
Shows that they are confident about how they do things.
I'm looking forward to seeing the steel hull-aluminium superstructure interface.
    And, and, and......

but seriously, well done Carl, she is a very exciting newbuild, the renders are very much to my taste. even though i am not Greek i have been here so long that i hope she will fly the Greek flag eventually (due to tax reasons, only for the brave....) Alfa Four exceeded but dissapointed the eye, perhaps we can have both this time.....

looking forward to being super nosy......another exclusive for yachtforums hopefully.

    bad advertisement...

they probably saw my pictures and were unhappy about the commercial opportunities these implied :( :D

If there will be pictures of her on the net anyway, let's at least make some flattering ones ourselves

still, bit of a pity; would have loved to make em myselves :(

    Art indeed!

Are we sure this is actual production and not the develpoment of the new boat. From my experience (as limited as it may be) is that the initial boat concept is mocked up in wood to make sure it looks and feels right, then it is put through the production line.

On their site it's all wood you see and no sign of molds or fiberglass production facilities.
Looking at the pictures here makes me quite doubtful about the fiberglass principle too since the form is way to complicated to seperate from a mould.
