We understand that she is running well under power. Can somebody find an adequate picture of her sailing seriously?
MitSeaAh's Performance Under sail Hi Teenna. I surely might have predicted this lack of sailing capability. I wrote on another thread posting about this vessel, "As I look back over this posting I almost feel the need to apologize for the negative overtones I’ve conveyed on MITseaAH. On the contrary, I really appreciate the efforts of her creators to solve the problems and produce a very unique new yacht. I can only hope the next time they are presented such a challenge, that they give some consideration to the catamaran vessel form." http://www.yachtforums.com/forums/10889-post3.html http://www.yachtforums.com/forums/10516-post1.html On another forum I posted this subject matter,; Monohull verses Multihull powersailers / motorsailers http://www.boatdesign.net/forums/showthread.php?t=4499
MitSeaAh For Sale I see where this yacht is now for sale. I wonder who can afford her fuel bill with the current state of things, and the coming escalation. There was discussion of her fuel usage here: http://www.yachtforums.com/forums/general-yachting-discussion/2829-mitseaah.html
I can see the point of motoring a fast M/S. The yacht is mainly used as a Motoryacht, getting from A to B at speed, The owner previously had M/Ys and is used to the way they operate. On the other hand there are times when he justs wants to go nowhere in particular, perhaps getting some sun, with quests, a few drinks, unspoilt by the sound of diesels, sails billowing in the freshening breeze, no speed demon, but comfortable.
LOL. I never really thought about it, but that is true. Kinda makes since to have the emergency backup just in case though.
