Hull number C.2173 is quickly taking shape. In just 5 months the workers at the Perini's Turkish yard completed the fabrication of the aluminum hull. It is expected that nearing the end of Summer 2010 the shell of the vessel will be transported to the Viareggio Perini yard for finishing. 2173 is a 50-meter ketch-rigged yacht designed by Ron Holland and is expected to launch in 2012.
"Panthalassa" chartering for 1 Mil per week? Is this simply because Norman Foster (Lord) design the yacht?

Shure? I know that yachts like the 68 metres Yacht "Kismet" from Lurssen Yachts , cost 600,000- 700,000$. And I haven't from a charteryacht which costs more 800,000$. But when it's true, would 1,000,000$ be a giant price for a 56 metre Sailingyacht. Cheers,Justus
You can charter the Maltese Falcon for around €350,000 - €380,000 per week based on season etc. You decide if 200,000 per week is fair. It is difficult at best to compare rates of motor vs. sail. Apples and oranges.
