The reason the yachts and ships fly Canadian flags is it is a courtsey flag of the country they are in.
Hi, Thanks for the info and links. I am quite well aware what Courtesy Flags are for I was just not aware that the Welland Canal is in Canada. I am now
Something struck as odd when looking at the pictures of Cover Drive and Four Jacks. Seeing a white hull on the PJ's is as odd as seeing an orange hull on a Feadship.
When is a white paint job a bold statement? When it's on a PJ. I think the white hull and house with blue/purple top trim is drop dead gorgeous.
Yes, the white and purple is gorgeous. But it seems that most of the PJ NL series yachts are every color combination but white. If you go to the PJ website all of the featured builds are gold hulls and silver hulls. It's just unusual to see the new PJs in white. Odd doesn't necessarily mean bad it can also mean out of the norm. And out of the norm for these beautiful yachts seems to be white.
Never fear, the new 150' is aqua marine with an orange boot stripe. Much like her little sister "Vanquish".
After seeing your picture of the new PJ 150 makes me feel like everything in the universe has righted itself. Phew, I was getting concerned. Especially since the conversation I had with this man sunday about the end of the world on Dec 12, 2012.
I agree with you. The boats looked odd to me at first also. Took a minute to figure out it's because of a white paint job!
Alfa Sea (Ex Cover Drive 2) According to AIS, Cover Drive 2 (PJ135 Hull 4) has been renamed Alfa Sea.
Alfa Sea http://www.marinetraffic.com/ais/shipdetails.aspx?MMSI=377162000 Look in the bottom right and it will show that the ex name for Alfa Sea is Cover Drive 2 and the dimensions of the vessel line up exactly with the PJ 135 series.
