No GPS Fix on my SIMRAD EV2

It is a NSO, EVO2 box with two big touch operated screens.
He purchased an active GPS receiver, Installed a N2K expansion T on the backbone and his new GPS and all working now.
We figure a lighting hit may have damaged his original GPS receiver.
