The next day we left Paxos for Korfu; on the was we came accross the previous "Nilo". We stopped at Messongi for a swim and lunch. The water around Korfu channel are relatively shallow in comparison to the other parts of the Ionian Sea, so the crystal clear feeling was somehow not there.
Corfu is the main island of the Ionian islands an have been under Venetian rule for a very long time, so this can be seen in the arkitecture of the older building of the Island.
We were heading for Gouvia Marina and have noticed that the "Rising Sun" was also in the port. Baglietto's "Antalis" crossed our way. "Leocrie II" was at the anchor as well as the Feadship "Le Pharaon".
Then we came across the most interesting and bizarre boat of the recent times. When one has a closer look, actually the space wise design could very well be practical. Lots of space out on deck and I am sure the top deck level without the pilot house could very well be a nice partying area. However, the design with straight lines does not look good to the eye. Could it be the reason why the boat is painted like this; to hide the ugly lines, or is it just for attracting the sights?
These last 5 pictures complete the 1st part of the trip, soon I will continue with Croatia and later on with the trip to Cannes. The large yacht with the blue hull is "Sequel P" of Proteksan.
I will post some photos tomorrow. Unfortunately it will only be stern shots. I will be posting a new thread of yachts in Cape Town South Africa.
I think she is "Fair Lady", built by Camper and Nicholson. http://www.burgessyachts.co.uk/Charter/YachtSpecs.asp?thisID=11293&YachtName=FAIRLADY
