  1. New Generation PowerCats By StellarCat
Have you ever heard of StellarCAT before? Chances are you probably haven't as they are a relatively recent company which will specialize in luxury powercats. According to the company's website they are starting off their range with two models. The AL20-2 with an overall length of 20.58m (68 ft) and AL25-2 with an overall length of 25.12m (83 ft). As they find their sea-legs more models will be added in the future. The AL20-2 is offering a plush five (5) guest stateroom accommodation with AL25-2 offering six (6). Both yacht models are to be configured for generous crew quarters as well and offering flexibility for owners via a variety of interior arrangement choices.
  2. Designed for stability, speed and range, ocean crossing distances are possible and maximum speeds can be achieved in the region of 30-knots. The first model, the AL20-2 is 67.6-feet overall and has an impressive beam of 9.80-meters (32-feet) and draws just 4-feet of water. Standard power involving a pair of IPS 500 should permit a comfortable 14-knot speed. However, with optional power of 4 x IPS 800 the top speed should be closer to 30-knots.
  3. The yard proposes a cozy but modern interior as can be seen via the rendering below. Thanks to that 32-foot beam, the main guest spaces onboard like the main salon are very spacious. Keep in mind that you are on a 68-foot craft. Is there a 68-foot monohull yacht that can boast of a 32-foot beam? Light tones with contrasting elements and details form the basis for the interior ethos of the AL20-2.
  4. On the other hand, the AL25-2 is slightly bigger coming in with an overall length of 25.12-meters (82.5-feet). With the extra length also allows for an even wider beam on this second model. In fact the beam is in the region of 38.1-feet or 11.61-meters. This is even wider than 50 to 55-meter yachts and you have this on a vessel half the LOA. The yachts are to be built with all aluminium construction we should add. Below is a look at the bigger AL25-2 model.
  5. The interiors follow a similar path in design and decor as the smaller AL20-2 but clearly on a larger scale. The ability to spec this yacht as close to how you want it as an owner is the ultimate dream. Offering options for a huge salon, full-beam staterooms with dressing rooms, and a truly immense flybridge. This new yard is promising alot but we shall monitor their progress as they endeavour to build these ocean-going catamarans. The bigger powercat draws just under a foot more than the smaller sister at 4.10-feet. The fuel tanks are proposed to carry 30,660 LT. Power is by two IPS 1050s which would allow a 21-knot speed. Optional power includes four IPS 800s for a 26-knot top end.
