  1. Project 'Fox' In Build At Pendennis
UK-based builder Pendennis has been steadfastly working on a new project behind the scenes. It is an expedition type of vessel in a pocket build form-factor. It is called Project 'Fox' currently while it is under construction but there is no indication on what the final name would be this early in the construction. The LOA is 34.8-meters with Naval Architecture by DYD and exterior/interior design work by Q London.
  2. As a vessel with expedition credentials the design puts the majority of the decks forward of midships region. This allows the aft main deck to be open and carry the yacht's tenders and toys. In the rendering below we can see there are two cranes dedicated to the movement of those tenders, submarine and toys. Despite her explorer persona the yacht still is expected to be comfortable and luxurious on the interior. There has been 295 GT of interior volume set aside for guest and owner comfort.
  3. The interior proposal drawn up by Q London showcases a plush and almost loft-style/upmarket apartment interior where whites dominate. Herringbone pattern finishes line the floors in the public spaces aboard. While a cleaner and pure finish adorns the floors of the personal spaces. Below is a glimpse of how the main saloon would look when completed. The space is formal while still crafting informal sensibilities. Large glass windows on the side permit a wash of natural light to the interior aiding a spacious feeling for this space.
  4. The master suite onboard is full-beam as seen in the following rendering. The beam on this yacht is 7.8-meters or nearly 26-feet offering comfortable interior spaces. Below the rendering suggests mainly white finish with greys and tan accent wall area where the centerline bed is to be located. Based on what the yard suggested, the vessel may still be available for purchase. The interior was done in this way to appeal to a wider clientele. James Ratcliffe who is the Managing Partner at Q London said he stuck to a clean, minimalist interior design that’s flexible and easy to customize, to keep her appeal high for a wide range of potential clients.
  5. Below we can see the level of luxury being afforded on Project Fox, remember this is an expedition yacht. This ensuite bathroom likely linked to the master suite echoes a similar decor ethos. The stone choice along with wooden slat detailing along with ample mirrored and glass surfaces result in the bright and airy ensuite bath area. The obligatory rain shower fixture, shower bench, floating vanity design and clean lines characterize this personal retreat.
  6. Back into the public domain of the yacht here we see an example of how the lobby could be finished when the yacht is completed. Even on the landings the herringbone pattern continues to tie all the spaces together. Details like shadow molding work adds to the modern/minimalist apartment vibe. Black finished details along with the centerpiece dark staircase accented by subtle yet modern led tread lighting.
  7. Detailed statistics have not been posted of project Fox as yet but we know the length is 34.8-meters with a beam of 7.8-meters and a draft of 4.5-meters. Construction is being made in steel to make the build as robust as possible. Interior and exterior of this expedition style yacht is by Q London making the design and build an all UK endeavour. Top speed is anticipated to be 15-knots. This yacht is expected to be launched in the Spring of 2023.
