News: Nordhavn Delivers First N100 "Serenity"

The first unit of the new Nordhavn N100 line has been delivered as announced by the builder. Her name is "Serenity" and she is a close relative of the popular N86/96 models. This N100 is a custom built yacht for this owner so we will see if other owners follow suit for this particular model. Serenity is currently engaged in her shakedown cruise in Mexican waters a week since delivery.

The N100 mainly came about by the owner's necessity for a proper and comfortable sportfishing cockpit at the back. Essentially the extra length for this feature pushed the design of the boat to 100-feet. The extra length if anything gives the yacht a slightly different appearance as well as the 'sorta' unique 'stars and stripes' blue hull. The owner helped design the layout and interior of Serenity. Executing the design was left down to Destry Darr Designs. The design firm placed emphasis on Walnut timbers with stainless steel accents. Grey, Creams and Browns contrast with the medium intensity Walnut and allows for the vibrant artwork and accents to pop.

Onboard you will find a five cabin layout for the owner and guests. Accommodation for a crew of four has been provided. Serenity was launched on April 23rd and has an LOA of 101-feet, a beam of 24-feet and a draft of 8.20-feet. She is powered via a pair of CAT C18s each rated at 600 horsepower. Fuel tankage is just around 26,500 LT ad at conservative speeds she can sail for 3,000 nautical miles.
