The Pendennis yard in the UK has been busy in recent years with refit work but in terms of new builds it has been less of a reality. However, this yard is currently working on a new build called Project 'Fox' a 34.9-meter explorer type yacht. It appears the current owner is looking to sell it and therefore it is available for purchase asking €15.5 million. You can also sail away in 2023.

Project Fox will be able to carry eight guests in her cabins on trips around the world. The interior is by Q London and you can get a glimpse into the direction of the interior styling in the rendering below. Although she is being built with a steel hull it isn't toughened for polar exploration. With 34.9-meters length overall and a beam of 7.7-meters there is fair amount of space onboard. Twin CAT marine diesels will permit a sedate top speed while reducing to 12-knots should stretch the range to 3,600 nautical miles.

To facilitate the explorer missions the aft main deck can be outfitted with numerous tenders and toys. Over 1,000 sq ft of deck space is dedicated to tender storage and these will be serviced by two 2-ton cranes. Of course with the tenders deployed the space is a blank slate for whatever al-fresco activities the owner and guests can concoct. Delivery is expected to be sometime in 2023 which presents a new owner with little wait time for delivery of their new yacht.
