News: Inside The Finished AB80 "G-Five"

The AB80 YF wrote about at the end of July has now been completed and we get to see what the interior looks like now in a series of photos below. The yacht is called "G-Five" and is a four-cabin luxury yacht with all the sportive lines in tact but not afraid to dish-out eye-watering performance when needed. There are some new lines associated with this yacht thanks to Acube Design working with AB Yachts.

The interior is really where this yacht shines and is set apart. On a yacht the size of G-Five, space is at a premium and maximizing this is always the key. The main area that guests will congregate in is the main salon area on the main deck. The whole internal space is open-plan in design offering no walls or pillars to segment the space thus giving the illusion of more space. A large bespoke L-shaped sofa sectional is used to own the salon space and this is where many guests can congregate and entertain themselves with the large-screen television on the opposite wall.

Accommodation is on the lower deck for everyone. Below is the master suite which is full-beam and showcases the decor choices made by the owner and brought to life through Acube Design. Different textures are apparent in the room as well as tonal values represented by the timber, leather and reflective surfaces used. The large mirror above the bedhead opens-up the space even further by giving the illusion of continuum of space. The ensuite bathroom is directly behind the bed for ease of access.

On the outside, either extreme (bow and stern) have guest-oriented lounging and entertaining spaces. The aft cockpit area outside of the main salon is one of these areas. Fit-out for alfresco dining when at anchor this area has a large table and chairs as well as chic cognac leather seating. The opposite end of the yacht on the bow has sun lounging real estate as well as space for a small cocktail table perfect for enjoying sundowners on the bow. There is also a flybrige area accessed by stairs to the starboard side of the aft maindeck area.

As much as this piece is focused on the interior and deck areas of the yacht, you cannot talk about an AB Yacht and neglect the performance aspect of the vessel. G-Five is fitted with three MAN V12 2000 engines linked to three MJP Waterjets for eye-watering 50-knot speeds. If you like to raise your roostertail then G-Five will definitely rouse your feathers.
