  1. 46-meter Sail Sloop "Skade" By Holland Jachtbouw
Dutch sailing yacht manufacturer Holland Jachtbouw is presently putting their latest yacht through its paces. The 46-meter sloop-rigged yacht has lines and Naval Architecture penned by Tripp Design and feature prominent vertical windows along the hull’s length. The colours chosen to finish the yacht’s hull blend well with the mast and boom finish. A neutral silver on the hull and superstructure contrasts well with the jet black of the mast and boom.
  2. The mast itself is fairly tall and was designed to allow the 46-meter sloop to be able to transit the Bridge of the Americas in Panama. The project has been around for a while having being signed back in 2013. Recently launched, the 46-meter world cruising yacht is expected to be called “Skade” when completed. Tripp designed her to have a lifting keel to allow her to have access to shallow bays and anchorages. With the keel retracted, Skade is likely to draw around 4-meters. For open water sailing she can extend her keel approximately to 6.5-meters.
  3. Developing the interior of Skade has been the job of Rhoades Young Design along with inputs from the owner. The yacht is quite a looker from the exterior and the interior is just as stunning. In the last few days the new yacht has been seen conducting sea trials and we can expect this vessel to be handed over in a few weeks. Mediterranean marinas can look out for this Tripp designed beauty soon!
