  1. 73-meter Superyacht "Hasna" Launched At Feadship
Dutch superyacht builder Feadship has revealed and christened its latest yacht. The 73-meter "Hasna" was christened recently in the usual spectacular bottle-breaking fashion. Built for an Australian owner, Hasna features a design internally and externally by British design firm Redman Whiteley Dixon (RWD). The aluminium superyacht is finished in the traditional all-white paint scheme with black accents. The layout onboard is a bit interesting especially on the lower deck.
  2. Most of the guest accommodation is located on the lower deck. For the record, the guest accommodation onboard Hasna is for twelve along with room for 21 crew members. Being on the lower deck, guest accommodation is traditional but the location on the deck is what is different. Onboard the guest accommodation is aft of the engine room which will allow guests direct access to the beach club which is also aft on the lower deck. The beach club is expansive and has two fold down terraces on either side for use at anchor. There is no aft opening perhaps because of the positioning of the 8-meter main pool on the aft main deck above.
  3. Power comes via a pair of MTU diesels, MTU 12V 4000 M53s that are capable of running Hasna at a top speed of 16-knots with a range in the region of 5,500 nautical miles at a continuous 12-knots. Other special features onboard include a 25-meter sundeck that has a central indoor skylounge midships. It can be opened up in good weather or sealed off and air conditioned in bad weather. Forward of the lounge on the sundeck is a 3-meter jacuzzi that is surrounded by a sunpadded area. The beach club on the aft lower deck is a relaxation space but it also feature a gym space incorporated.
  4. The yacht has been built for an Australian client. This in itself is something special for Feadship as it marks the first time that a customer from that side of the world has built a major custom superyacht with them. The brief was to have subtle details showing a 'beach chic' vibe overall. The project manager at RWD, Charlie Baker, said: "The brief was to create a timeless exterior profile with lots of subtle details, many of which are inspired by an automotive aesthetic."
