  1. 53-meter "MLR" Launches At Delta Marine
American yard DeltaMarine launched its first yacht of 2019, the 53-meter "MLR". The yacht was a fairly confidential project being built under the yard number 174046. The design is by Jonathan Quinn Barnett, head at JQB Design. The interior is also by this firm and is not exactly a coincidence as the owner seems to like their previous work on the Delta Marine "Silver Shalis".
  2. The semi-displacement yacht is 53-meters long with a beam of 10.36-meters and a 2.35-meter draft. Once completed she will be able to sleep twelve guests. The owner appears to have plans to take the vessel to the Caribbean and Bahamas once delivered. Onboard a pair of MTU 16V 4000 M73L diesels will ensure she can get to these maiden destinations. Delta Marine still has not disclosed the anticipated speeds for this yacht.
  3. With the owner being American they wanted to be able to build a superyacht from an American manufacturer and naturally stateside on American soil, in this case in Seattle. They went with Delta Marine and with their admiration on some of Delta Marine's previous work the deal was solidified. Special features onboard MLR include an elevator that can whisk guests from the lower deck all the way to the sundeck. There is a small pool complete with jets and even a shallow area for relaxing with a waterfall feature. There are sunpads and plenty of comfy seating on the forward sun deck and will see good use by the owners. Another feature is that each deck has its own bar making it easy for crew to whip-up a quick cocktail for the owner and guests. Contrasting veneers and natural stone feature prominently around the interior. MLK is being prepared for sea trials as we type and hopefully all goes well to allow for a swift delivery timetable.
