  1. New CRN 55-meter Superyacht "Atlante" Splashes
Italian builder CRN has finally splashed their latest superyacht into the water. She was built as hull 134 and rolled out of the build shed nearly one month ago on April 16th, 2015. Hull 134 also has her final name too bearing the letters "Atlante" on her sides. The new yacht was built with a steel hull and a aluminum superstructure and Naval Architecture by the in-house engineering team at CRN. The exterior design is by Nuvolari and Lenard. CRN’s Chairman and CEO Lamberto Tacoli says. “Launching a new yacht is always a moment of great pride for the entire shipyard as emotions go hand in hand with the satisfaction of knowing that each and every one of our products is going to represent our brand and Made-in-Italy yachting across the world’s seas."
  2. Now that Atlante is in the water, she will continue her final fit-work as well as be prepared for her all-important sea trials. It is believed that Atlante carries twin CAT engines with the ability to run her up to 15-knots -which will be confirmed at trials-. Atlante's interior work has been carried out by Gilles et Boissier in conjunction with CRN in-house interior team. Architect Dan Lenard of Nuvolari and Lenard comments, “We conceived and created this new yacht together with CRN following the requirements of the Owner Company. The outer lines have been developed having in mind a specific final look - aggressive, but at the same time very proportionate. Seen in her entirety, this is a high-impact yacht, whose determined military look becomes soft on the sea. This is why we found some original solutions, such as a non-traditional bow and areas entirely devoted to guests, like the side doors of the main deck that, once the tenders have been launched, can be exploited to the fullest.” Expect Atlante in a marina in the next few months when she is delivered.
