  1. 31.5-meter Explorer "Northland" By Burger Boat
Burger Boat has unveiled renderings of a new yacht they are working on with a design by Luiz De Basto. The explorer yacht is barely over 100-feet long but full of character and style with a very modern interior that is being finalized in conjunction with the owner. The longrange explorer yacht will be used to take the owner on adventures and visiting the worlds fishing hot-spots. This 103-foot yacht is expected to have a range in the region of 4,000 nautical miles at 9.5-knots. Her power will be provided by twin CAT C18s taking efficient trawl cruising to new levels. "Northland" -as she is being called- is being built to ABS classification and according to Burger Boat, is expected to be launched in the Spring of 2017.
  2. Approximate figures given by Burger Boat so far suggest that Northland will have a top speed of 12.4-knots while her pair of CAT C18 ACERT marine engines sip from 37,065 LT of fuel when her tanks are filled. The construction is going to be in steel (hull) and aluminium (superstructure) with a draft of just 7-feet, she can visit pretty much anywhere. Northland with her 103'06'' overall length is also small enough to fit in many marinas around the globe. Her full beam is designed at 26'05'' offering fairly spacious accommodation and guest areas. Features include a large jacuzzi on the aft uppermost deck. A foredeck designed to store the yacht's tenders with dedicated davit/crane. The owner's stateroom is located on the upper/bridge deck using alot of the squarefootage on that level. It features the large double king bed on the port side with large walk-in closets on the starboard. Forward, the room showcases a full ensuite bathroom. There are three guest cabins on the lower deck comprising of two doubles and a twin. It is an interesting project from Burger Boat and we look forward to seeing her launch in Spring 2017.
